Press Start

Video games have always had an important presence in my life. From bringing my Tamagotchi with me to school in kindergarten, to waking up early on the weekends to get some RPG time on the PS2 before my family woke up, to live streaming games on Twitch. Through the years I’ve come to love any combination of fun gameplay, deep storytelling, unique graphics, beautiful music, and diverse characters.

I’ve always been drawn to video games and it was natural for me to want to share my experiences and the medium with others through streaming. I started streaming on Twitch in 2017 and have been building an inclusive community full of positive vibes (and a little chaos) since then. Video games are for everyone and I believe that our online communities and content spaces should reflect that.

I always say that there’s “so many games, so little time.” There are so many worlds we can be a part of, so many imaginations we can experience, so much art we can consume through video games – and new ones are created all the time. I’m just trying to play as many as I can.

I regularly live stream video game content on Twitch, upload highlights and reviews on YouTube, and create written pieces on my blog.

The Next Level

Another hobby of mine that is informed by my love of video games is cosplay. Ever since I was a kid I loved dressing up and playing pretend, and what better way to combine those than cosplay. My grandmother is a seamstress and would make Halloween costumes for me as a kid, and actually helped me with my first cosplay in 2013.

Through cosplay I have learned some unique skills and made friends with amazing people in the community. Cosplay is a way to take your appreciation for a game or series to the next level. I enjoy crafting and embodying the personality and energy of the character I’m cosplaying. It’s a very fun and freeing form of expression.

My cosplay journey actually took me to my first Twitchcon in 2019. I was selected as a finalist in the Needlework category of the cosplay contest. You can check out my stage walk from the event HERE.
